DIA India Annual Meeting 2026 to convene global and Indian healthcare leaders to shape the next era of innovation

The Drug Information Association (DIA) will bring together leaders from across the life sciences and healthcare ecosystem at the DIA India Annual Meeting (IAM) 2026, to be held on 18–19 November 2026 at the CIDCO Auditorium & Convention Centre, Navi Mumbai.

Centered on the theme, “Where India Meets the World in Healthcare Innovation. Global Impact, Locally Delivered,” the meeting will bring together perspectives from across pharma, biotech, regulatory authorities, academia, clinical research and technology to examine how India can help shape the next chapter of global healthcare innovation.

As science, technology and regulation converge at unprecedented speed, IAM 2026 marks an important platform for turning future-ready strategies into real-world impact. The meeting is designed to move beyond dialogue and enable decision-making, collaboration and execution across the healthcare product lifecycle.

A major highlight of the meeting will be the Opening Plenary Session, themed “India 2047 (Viksit Bharat) – From the Pharmacy of the World to the Innovation Engine of the World.”

The plenary programme is scheduled to include opening addresses from CDSCO and the US FDA, followed by keynote discussions examining India’s evolution from a global supplier towards becoming a healthcare and innovation powerhouse. The programme will also explore whether India can lead on access, affordability and innovation in the evolving GLP-1 landscape, and culminate in a plenary panel asking: “What Will It Take for India to Produce the Next Global Biopharma Giant?”

Six tracks. One converging healthcare future.

Over two days, IAM 2026 will feature six focused tracks and two flagship plenary sessions, bringing together experts and decision-makers across key areas shaping the future of life sciences and healthcare.

The programme will focus on:

• Regulatory science & policy

Discussions will explore future-ready regulatory frameworks, digital transformation and AI in regulatory science, global collaboration, operational excellence and strategies to accelerate access to life-changing therapies.

• Advanced therapy medicinal products

Sessions will examine the future of advanced therapies, including oncology applications, radiopharmaceuticals, cell and gene therapies, regulatory pathways, manufacturing and quality considerations, and the challenges of moving breakthrough science towards scalable patient access.

• Clinical development

The clinical development track will explore India’s potential as a global biopharma and clinical research hub, the country’s clinical trial advantage, risk-based quality management, real-world evidence, digital biomarkers and the role of AI in improving clinical development.

• Pharmacovigilance

The programme will examine what the next generation of drug safety could look like, including AI governance, patient voice, predictive safety intelligence, integrated safety systems and emerging risks in an increasingly complex therapeutic landscape.

• Medical affairs

Sessions will focus on the evolving strategic role of medical affairs, lifecycle evidence generation, real-world evidence, health economics and outcomes research, cross-functional collaboration and India’s role in driving healthcare impact beyond its borders.

• Data science & AI

As AI increasingly moves from experimentation into implementation, this track will explore the realities of deploying AI in healthcare, data interoperability, advanced analytics, AI-enabled clinical development and the balance between automation, autonomy and accountability.

The meeting will conclude with a Closing Plenary Session featuring a keynote on how AI is redefining the drug development continuum, followed by a panel discussion on “The Future of Medicines: Who Will Shape the Next Era of Healthcare?”
