Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy to host two-day national symposium

Continuing with the golden jubilee celebrations, Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy in Chembur, Mumbai, will organise a two-day national symposium on ‘Innovative Frontiers in Green Chemistry’ on September 27-28, 2013.

The main objective of the symposium is to provide a platform for the research students to discuss and gain knowledge on all recent developments in Green Chemistry and encourage them to adopt this as their research field of choice in their careers. The symposium includes poster presentation from delegates and scientific talks from many eminent speakers from academia as well as industry.

Prof KS Jain, SH Bhosale, Professor in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Poona College of Pharmacy, Pune, Dr SS Dhage, Former Deputy Director, NEERI, Mumbai, Dr BB Shingate, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Dr BAMU, Aurangabad, Prof Vijay Khanna, Head, Organic and Drug Chemistry, Ahmednagar College, Ahemednagar, Dr Kushal Manudhane, Senior Scientist, Dr Reddys Laboratory, Hyderabad, Dr Sanjay Poman, Bussiness Development Manager, Merck Millipore, and Dr Rakesh R Somani, Associate Professor in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, VES College of Pharmacy, Chembur, Mumbai are likely to attend the symposium. Professor BP Bandgar, Ex-Vice-chancellor of Solapur University who himself is a Green Chemistry scientist, is the chief guest for this symposium and also the key note speaker.
