UKTI Life Sciences delegates to interact with industry leaders from India

The need to keep pace with changing patient needs is driving drug delivery science and research to come up with innovative drug delivery systems. This has in turn led to many partnering opportunities, many of which have resulted in valued added products to meet these evolving patient needs.

In order to spur more partnering opportunities in drug delivery science and research, UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) announces its upcoming high level life sciences delegation set to tour India from September 2-7.

The delegation, comprising UK companies, senior researchers and academia, will first participate in a panel discussion on September 2 in Mumbai, titled ‘International Collaborations in Drug Delivery System’. The panel discussion will focus on the need for advanced drug delivery systems in India and opportunities for bilateral collaboration to adapt new drug delivery systems prevailing in UK to suit India’s healthcare needs. Express Pharma and Express Healthcare are exclusive media partners to the panel discussion.

Kumar Iyer, British Deputy High Commissioner, Western India & Director General, UK Trade & Investment, India will open the discussion. Moderated by Viveka Roychowdhury, Editor, Express Pharma and Express Healthcare, the panel will have a mix of industry leaders from India and UK. Confirmed participants include Jagdish Saxena, Chairman and MD, Elder Pharmaceuticals; Nidhi Saxena, Chief Executive Officer, Karmic Life sciences and Ranga Iyer, Promoter, Salus Lifecare, (Former Managing Director, Wyeth) with more to be confirmed.

UK experts at the panel discussion include Dr Tselepi, Founding Director, Cavendish NanoTherapeutics; Inbaraj Baskara, Mirada Medical and Kam Dhaliwal, Vice President, Horizon Discovery.
