UBM India recently hosted a press conference on ‘Awarding Excellence in the Pharmaceutical Industry’ to announce the launch of UBM India Pharma Awards. The press conference followed by the unveiling of the trophy for the UBM India Pharma Awards. UBM India on December 2, 2013 through this award ceremony will recognise and reward select, path-breaking initiatives undertaken by the Indian pharmaceutical industry around key areas of quality, product design, cost management, packaging, corporate social responsibility, research and development. The conference was presided over by Ajit Singh, Chairman, ACG Worldwide; Mural Nair, Partner, Ernst & Young, and Joji George, Managing Director, UBM India.
The press conference provided details on how the UBM India Pharma Awards will honour companies who have excelled in pharmaceuticals and who have contributed to the growth and development of the Indian industry and overall economy. The categories for the awards and the jury members for the same were also specified.
The event was graced by Dr Ajit Dangi, President and Chief Executive Officer, Danssen Consulting; Devinder Pal, President, Catalyst Pharma Consult and Kaushik Desai, Director, Drug Information Association (DIA).
