Sun Pharma will be setting up a manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh, the company said in a statement.
It mentioned that Dilip Shangvi, founder, Sun Pharma, and his team met YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chief Minister, Andhra Pradesh, to discuss the progress of the pharmaceutical sector and the setting up of an end-to-end manufacturing facility in the state.
Mentioning about the chief minister’s understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the state, Shangvi said that the integrated development of the state was becoming clear as part of the chief minister’s policy, according to the statement.
The statement also notified that Reddy explained to the team that the steps being taken by the government are for industrial progress, and invited them to take advantage of this opportunity and invest in the state. He also explained the steps being taken with the aim of integrated development in mind; highly transparent policies are being employed in industries. The state government is determined to make quality human resources available by making skills development/training accessible to all in the state.
As per the statement, the chief minister also said that the state government was particularly focussed on environment-friendly policies. The opening of this facility will lead to the creation of more jobs and will contribute to the enhancement of the industrial sector in the state.
