PM nod for MoU in traditional medicines between India and China

A separate MoU was also signed between India and Mongolia in the field of traditional systems of medicine and homoeopathy

According to a PIB release, the Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, gave its approval for extension of tenure of the MoU signed between India and the China State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SATCM) on cooperation in traditional medicine. The MoU had expired on January 13, 2013 on completion of its validity period of five years from 14.01.2008 (the date of its signing). The signing of the proposed MoU, will enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of traditional medicine; which will benefit both countries.

The PM also gave an approval for signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the field of traditional systems of medicine and homoeopathy between India and Mongolia. The signing of the proposed MoU, will enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the areas of traditional medicine. This will be of immense importance to both countries considering their shared historical and cultural legacy. The MoU will provide a structured framework for cooperation between the two countries for the promotion of Indian traditional systems of medicine and homoeopathy in Mongolia.
