Menarini India has appointed Girisan Kariangal as the new Managing Director of India with effect from 1st January, 2022. Girisan has replaced Anandh Balasundaram who will be retiring from the company within the next few months, after seven years at the helm of Menarini India, a company statemet said.
It informed that Girisan has been with Menarini India since 2010 and in aggregate, has over 30 years of pharmaceutical leadership experience, covering a broad spectrum of commercial and support functions. During his tenure at Menarini India, among other things, he has played an integral role in transforming the company from a CSO-led business to a strong branded formulations company.
