Focuses on potential benefits of carbopol polymers beyond controlled and extended release
Lubrizol LifeSciences recently organised a two-day workshop at their Application & Business Centre in Mumbai. Carbopol workshops are designed to impart comprehensive theoretical as well as practical hands-on knowledge about using various Lubrizol’s Pharmaceutical Polymers in oral solid and semi-solid dosage formulations.
The faculty for the workshop included Indian technical team along with Elena Draganoiu, Global Technical Manager from Cleveland, US. The session included topics on oral solid dose, semi-solid and liquid dosage formulations.
The workshop also focused on potential benefits of Carbopol polymers beyond controlled and extended release, for example; bioadhesion, taste masking, control of micro environmental pH, inhibition of proteolytic enzymes, gastric floating systems, suspending agent (freeze drying). Lubrizol conducts such events on a regular basis several times a year.
