DoP amends Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013

In the amendment, DoP provided the proforma for a price list for medical devices, which needs to be submitted

The Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP) has amended the Drug (Prices Control) Order, 2013.

In a notification issued recently, the department said, “In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following order further to amend the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013, namely—

  • Short title and commencement: this order may be called the Drugs (Prices Control) Amendment Order, 2021. It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
  • In the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013—
    (i) in paragraph 24, in sub-paragraph (3), after the word and figure “Form-V,” the words and figure “or Form-VI” shall be inserted.
    (ii) in paragraph 25, in sub-paragraph (2), after the word and figure “Form-V,” the words and figure “or FormVI” shall be inserted.”

In the amendment, it provided the proforma for a price list for medical devices, which needs to be submitted.
