CDP score: Gerresheimer upgraded to “A-” for performance on climate change

Gerresheimer has participated in CDP’s annual detailed and independent assessment of companies on climate change since 2011 and improved continuously

Gerresheimer AG has received an A-scoring by CDP, a global non-profit organisation running an environmental disclosure platform. The company has improved its score from “B” to “A-” and thus achieved leadership status, a statement from Gerresheimer AG informed.

“Sustainability is an important driver for innovation and growth at Gerresheimer. The A- recognition confirms that we prioritise thinking and acting  sustainably as one of the main pillars of our global strategy,” said Dietmar Siemssen, CEO, Gerresheimer AG, in the statement.

Further, according to the statement, Gerresheimer has participated in CDP’s annual detailed and independent assessment of companies on climate change since 2011 and improved continuously. The report benchmarks the transparency of disclosure, awareness and management of environmental risks as well as the setting and reaching of meaningful targets in climate protection.

“Gerresheimer has set itself the goal to reduce the environmental impact of its products and activities with our strong sustainability strategy and clear targets,” said Katja Schnitzler, Group Senior Director, EHS, CSR, OPEX, in the statement.
