Alkem Laboratories has announced the launch of Olesoft Trucera moisturising lotion, a formulation developed to restore hydration, support the skin barrier, and help manage skin flare ups with an inside-out approach.
Olesoft Trucera includes N-Palmitoyl Serinol, which stimulates natural ceramide production in the skin. The product also contains a blend of five ceramides to retain moisture and support barrier function. In addition, it combines dual oat-extract actives and Niacinamide, which provide anti-inflammatory benefits. The lotion will be available on prescription, and patients are advised to consult a doctor before use.

Alkem currently has a strong presence of moisturisers under its Olesoft brand, including Olesoft Max, Olesoft Lite, Olesoft PPK and Olesoft pH 5.5. According to data from the Strategic Marketing Solutions and Research Centre (SMSRC) in April 2025, Olesoft Max is the most prescribed moisturiser by dermatologists in India. Further, Olesoft Lite was recognised as the “Best Launch of the Year” in the face moisturiser category by IQVIA in June 2025.
