The South Asian Chapter of American College of Clinical Pharmacology will organise the 9th Annual International Conference on ‘Clinical Pharmacology in Maternal and Child Care’ at Nehru Centre in Mumbai. Dr Bernd Meibohm, President, American College of Clinical Pharmacology will attend this year’s conference.
This year the conference will have a focus on clinical pharmacology in maternal and child care. Dr Deshbandhu Gupta, Founder and Chairman, Lupin; Dr Cyrus Poonawala, Chairman, Serum Institute Pune, outstanding ICMR Institute NIRRH (current Director Dr Smita Mahale) and eminent researcher and leader in Dr Soumya Swaminathan, Secretary, DHR and Director General ICMR will be honoured at the conference.
Partners for this year’s conference are Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health, GS Medical College, KEM hospital, Indian Academy of Pediatrics and Federation of Gynocologists and Obstetrician of India.
National and international faculties from academia, industry and regulatory agencies like US FDA and CDSCO will discuss topics on contraception, AYUSH drugs, management of polycystic ovarian syndrome, new drugs for ovulation and gynaecological diseases, animal models for endometriosis and drugs for osteoporosis and cardio vascular diseases.
Panel discussions will be held on regulatory issues on drug development for women and children, where lawyers, practicing paediatricians, gynaecologists, industry experts, representatives from regulatory agencies, ICMR and Clinical pharmacologists are likely to take part. Dr Ranjit Roy Chaudhury and Dr UK Sheth are likely to participate in the event.
