HRV Pharma invests Rs 150 crore to expand peptide, high-potent API capabilities
The investment strengthens HRV Pharma's presence in high-value pharma segments
HRV Pharma announced it will invest Rs 150 crore to expand capabilities across two high-value and supply-constrained pharma segments, synthetic peptides and high-potency oncology APIs.
The investment strengthens HRV Pharma’s presence in high-value pharma segments while retaining its asset-light operating model, the company said in a release.
These initiatives will strengthen HRV’s portfolio of complex molecules, accelerate access to regulated markets, and create dedicated supply capabilities while continuing to operate through its asset-light business model, it said.
HRV Pharma will invest Rs 40-50 crore to establish a dedicated cGMP peptide manufacturing capacity through a strategic capacity underwriting arrangement and establish a strategic joint venture with a focus on high-potency oncology active pharmaceutical ingredient (APIs) and specialised molecules, with an investment commitment of approximately Rs 100 crore.
Hari Kiran Chereddi, Founder, MD & CEO, HRV Pharma, said, “These investments of approximately Rs 150 crore represent the next step in our journey, securing access to critical capacities in areas such as peptides and high-potent APIs, while continuing to maintain the flexibility and capital efficiency of our asset-light model.”
