Injeti Srinivas whose appointment as Chairman of the National Pharmaceuticals Pricing Authority (NPPA) office was confirmed earlier, is likely to take charge on June 12 after being relieved of his assignment in the State Government of his home state.
An IAS officer from the 1983 Odisha cadre, Srinivas replaces C P Singh from the Tamil Nadu cadre whose tenure was extended for 10 days due to the formation of the new government at the centre. Singh has reportedly proceeded onto his next posting in Chennai as the Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Archaeology.
Injeti is an economics graduate and also holds an MBA degree. He was born on May 26, 1960 and starte98d serving from 13. During the Commonwealth Games he was Joint Secretary, Ministry of Sports and was responsible for issues related to accreditation.
